Monday 6 - 7am Bikram Cambie - Mari

I did it. I left at the savasana. I felt bad and I almost thought I was going to be locked in. I couldn't figure out how to unlock the door. But, I tried turning the floor lock the other way and it worked. Yay! Freedom. I escaped but I left their door unlocked. There was only twenty minutes left of class so I am not too worried about it.

I took a spot right by the door so I could leave easily. It is also right by the speaker but she didn't wear the headset. So, I didn't hear everything she mumbled. She did help me with standing separate leg stretching.

My left hip is still sore from something so I didn't tip over in triangle.

I feel like leaving at savasana worked well for me and I was able to get to work in plenty of time. I still was super sweaty and got a work out. I don't think I disrupted the class too much. I plan on doing this two times every two weeks so I can get three yogas in a week.

Saturday 3:40 - 4:40 Hip Hop - Ervin

This is the first time I have taken Ervin's class. He is in The Faculty. I can't remember whose school he is from but someone was talking about him at our last dance teachers' meeting. They were saying what a good kid he is and that he had just come in and helped out a whole bunch.

He had a choreography to Holy Grail. It was not too hard. He taught well. The class was full. He didn't lead a warm-up... which I thought was weird but I was already warm.. too warm!

When I left it was still raining but lightly. The spots that were impassable due to flooding were gone. It was too late for me though! 

Saturday 2 - 3:30 Jazz - Moe

The elements were trying to stop me from going today. Last week I didn't make it because of my back and this week the rain was ridiculous! I got to the corner store at Granville and stood under the awning (as were others) and I was already drenched. I contemplated going home but I ran onwards. Nothing was going to stop me this week. I wanted to dance and I was going to get sweaty anyways. At one cross walk there was no water drainage and I ran through major puddles. They were unavoidable. I got to Harbour and bought a pair of sweatpants. I put on an old pair of socks I found in my bag. I took Jazz and hip hop and for hip hop I just didn't wear my shoes. They were too wet.

Moe's class was awesome. She said that last week they cried. She did a really sad class (something about loving someone that doesn't return the love?) - which is the opposite of her - so this week she was back to funny. She made a dance and told storied about her crazy online dating before she met her husband. She is hilarious. 

Good class - but so sweaty. I wish I didn't sweat as much. I would be way more comfortable. But.. whatever. I can't change me.

Friday 6-7:30am Bikram Cambie - Tierny

So... I have seen this yogi leave the 6am class during the first savasana - I'm presuming to get to work on time. I have been going to the 6am when I have my spare first block which means I can go 3 times every second week. The week in between I go once to the Friday one hour class. Now, this yogi has passed on the idea that maybe during my non-prep in the morning week - maybe I could go a couple of more times and leave at savasana .. or I think I could make it if I left just after spine strengthening. BUT... I don't want to be the person who leaves and disturbs the class... or makes other people want to leave. 

My left hip is aching a bit. I didn't bend my triangle to the left. It wasn't as hot as Wednesday.

Wednesday 6 - 7:30am Bikram Cambie - Tanya :-)

 This is me driving to work after HOT yoga this morning. This is the class I remember. Monday was so nice. What happened? It is always the second class back. The first one isn't the one you should be afraid of. It wasn't terrible until the very end and Tanya put the fans on during camel and at the end. I was right under a fan and that was awesome. I gotta remember to be by the fan and the door because she opens the door to let air in sometimes but I was at the other end. Anywho - enough complaining about the heat. I made it there and I didn't get a good sleep. (The boy had something wrong with him and we were up feeding, rocking, changing... everything we could do.. at least three times.) I was sleeping through my alarm - Jonny had to tell me to turn it off. At that moment I was like what? I am going back to sleep.. but then I remembered it was my favourite teacher and I had work to do at school.. so just go! I am fine now.
Tanya gave me this awesome little thank-you note for the baby clothes. It made me smile and feel happy even though I was still sweating and feeling woozy!

Monday 6 - 7:30am Bikram Cambie - Tierny

I haven't been to a full length class in a three weeks... I think? I was worried I wasn't going to do well but I had a great class. My back is still a bit out but it is almost better. I am lucky this week that I have my spare three times in the morning so I will be able to go to yoga three times. I still have to figure out a way to get more dancing in - I haven't been to Harbour since school started - but I have been sick and my back has been out. I am really missing it though. There is no way I can get there after school. I just want to be with my little guy as much as I can. So, I am going to try and go Saturday and Sunday.

Friday 6 - 7am BYV Express - Tiernny

I have an ache in the top of my left scapula. I was hoping the hot yoga would stretch it out but it is still there. It didn't hurt it though.

There was a really bendy Kits hippy in front of me today. I don't want to stand near her again. There was an old man next to me and he stunk. I wonder if he knew? I thought it was the hippy chick at first because the old man was beside me but hidden behind a pillar. I wonder if Jonny will smell bad when he is an old man? hahaha - just kidding. He will probably always smell good to me.

This yoga teacher is also pregnant. Everyone is pregnant!

Friday 6 - 7am BYV Express - Kits - Tanya

YAY! I am finally feeling better. I made it through a week of sweaty high school teaching and now it is Friday and I am back at yoga and I am feeling good.

I stood at the front today because that is where there was space. I could feel my left hamstring is a bit sore from over stretching while teaching. I gotta be careful not to hurt it again. That sucked up most of my summer. Getting old.

Friday 6 - 7am BYV Express - Kits - Tanya

I didn't know that when you reserve a spot on the app you don't have to sign in when you get there. That is cool. I am always going to do that.

Tanya looked amazing as usual. Her belly is busting out!

This was the first time that I have taken the BYV Express class. I didn't know how it would be getting to school - but I made it in plenty of time. So... it is a go!

Some of the differences that I can remember are:
You do one set of Awkward and Eagle.
Separate leg - triangle - head to knee flow one into the other with one set each.
Spine strengthening flow one into the other one set each.
One fixed firm and one half tortoise
One head to knee.

Those are all the changes I think. It was really quick and good!

Monday 10 -11:30am Bikram Cambie - Sean

The boy was napping so I escaped to yoges. I had another great class. I wish I would have had Michelle as my teacher again but this new guy was not bad. I was dripping sweat by the time the first breathing exercise was done. I was bendy and flexible. I did every posture and tried my hardest. I remembered the two things that Michelle told me about yesterday and tried to do them too.

Sunday 12 - 1:30 Bikram Cambie - Michelle

I had an awesome class. I don't know if it was because it was at noon or because it was Michelle - but it was a great class.

Michelle gave me two pointers:
- in standing bow don't lower your chest until you can't get your leg up anymore.
- in floor bow try holding your ankles... much harder!

Michelle tried to give me the foot massage with the towel but I had to stop her because of my nasty wart foot. Please go away now. I am willing you away with all of my ... will!
